You Can Help!
Host a Coffee Hour / Dessert Event
You can help spread the word about the Father McKenna Center by hosting a Coffee Hour or Dessert Event at your home or office. It is a chance to share the good news about what we are accomplishing for some of DC’s most marginalized residents with your neighbors, colleagues and friends.
A member of our team will be willing to come to your home or office to share news about the Center and to show a brief video. We will ask your friends to join with us through a charitable contribution to support the work of the Father McKenna Center.
Host a Race or FunRun/Walk
Follow the example of the Sullivan family in the Fort Hunt neighborhood of Alexandria. Each Thanksgiving they invite their friends and neighbors to join them for a “pre-Turkey dinner” 10K run. They ask their friends to make a donation to support the work of the Father McKenna Center as their “entry fee.” Not a lot of work, just a lot of fun! And all for a great cause!
Develop Your Own Idea for a Creative Event to Support the Father McKenna Center
Come up with your own idea of a fun event for family, friends, neighbors and colleagues that will also inform them about the good work of the Father McKenna Center and potentially raise a few dollars to support our work.
If you need support, please contact Ned Hogan at the Father McKenna Center at (202) 842-1112 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
